Indeed Launches Search by Salary
I just got the heads up from Alison Curtin over at Indeed.com about a new service they've introduced. This is a new job search tool called “Job Search by Salary” that’s just launched. Job Search by Salary is a unique feature that makes it possible for job hunters to identify all of the jobs that meet their salary requirements, even when employers don't advertise the salaries.

In fact, according to Indeed, the majority of job listings don’t include salaries. If you've been looking online, you can probably attest to this. To overcome this, Indeed conducts research on the job listings that do provide salary information (which is about one fifth of the openings) and uses this information to estimate salaries for the rest.
With this new feature, you can now enter your desired annual salary in the search box on their search parameter and receive a list of all jobs that are estimated to pay at least this much. (To use this feature, click on their "Advanced Job Search" link next to the "Find Jobs" button).
As another feature, you can also establish an e-mail job alert to receive notification when job openings matching your salary requirements are found.
According to Paul Forster, CEO of Indeed, “For the first time, job seekers may search jobs comprehensively and also limit their results to jobs paying a sufficient salary. This further helps job seekers find the right jobs and employers receive better targeted applicants.”
This could be a great way to more easily zero in on those jobs matching both your skill sets as well as your desired salary level. Tell us what you think.
